This test is mostly designed for photographers in order to understand the rules of the website.On how to sell quality photographs without breaking any copyright rules. As a contributor you are getting paid a royalty rate of 20% every time someone downloads a photo except if you are an exclusive contributor then you are getting paid up to 40%.
You do not have to be a professional to become a member of the community. Registration is free and you are getting paid between $0.50USD to $8.40USD per image download or if you are selling both your image and the rights of your image then you should wait to be paid between 50% to 80% of the selling price. All images must be your original work, bigger than 3MP in size, RGB color in jpg format and generally follow the instructions of the website.
Open a free account by filling the registration form. Search between your most unique and quality images and photos and add them to your account. Submit images and illustrations in jpeg format (1600x2400) less than 20MB in file-size. Choose how you want to sell these photos (as royalty-free or with an exclusive buyout license). Wait between 24 to 48 hours for the image selection process. If the image was not rejected will be live on the web. Then start earn money every time someone download your image. Commissions are starting from $1USD up to $7USD.
This makes a little different than the other photo stock models. Buyers subscribe on a monthly basis and can download up to 750 images over the course of 30 days. Shutterstock will pay you $0.25USD every time one of your images is downloaded. Once you reach $500USD in earnings your commission goes up to $0.30USD per download.
There are 3 ways to make money with this stock model. Firstly, you are getting paid 50% of the selling price from each photo downloaded. Secondly, you are getting paid if you refer a customer (15% of the purchase or subscription) and thirdly, you are getting paid if you refer a photographer (10% of the price of each of their photo downloaded). Register and upload your photos to your account. These photos must be at least 4MP (2200x1700) in jpeg format and follow the copyright rules.
