Dealing with neck, back, and shoulder pain

Creating a flax seed filled neck pain relief pillow is easy to create, and many times cheaper then buying one at your favorite department store. These flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows are ideal for people who sleep on his or her side or back as they added the right support to your neck.

To create your own Flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows you need two rectangular pieces of material 24 by 16 (Muslin preferred), a bag of flax seed filling, and of course thread to match and pins.

Spread your material on a flat surface and fold it in half lengthwise. Begin pinning the wrong sides together to create your Flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows. This pillow will be double lined, as all filled pillows should be, to be assured that the filling does not spill out. You will need to leave an open area on your pillow about 3 inches long to stuff it, and this usually is on one end in the pillow.

Hand sew or machine sew the long side just to the left of your open end, and continue around the pillow making a -inch seam until you come to the other end. If you do not have a sewing machine, you can hand sew these little pillows. Remove the pins from the material, turning the fabric right side out through the open end.

Pour the flax seed filling into this hole until the flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows is full. Shake the pillow enough to allow the seeds to settle within the pillow. Now go ahead and finish sewing the opening closed and your flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows is complete.

Put your Flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows in a pillowcase or slip case to extend the lifetime of your newly created pillow. This type of pillow should always have a pillowcase because the bag is not washable due to the seeds. Every six months you can create a new pillow to ensure that you are getting the proper amount of pain relief from the pillow.

You may scent this flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows with various herbs to help aid healing or pop in the microwave for soothing warmth. Heating this bag seems to help ease the pain relieving properties.

Here are some warnings about your newly created flax seed filled neck pain relief pillows. Do not allow the down pillow to get wet, as mildew will set in and ruin the pillow. Do not wash this bag or allow it to get wet, and always use a pillowcase over the top of it.
