Poetry: I'm going to miss you

by Blair Bordelon

Created on: November 12, 2008

The stars they are laughing

Up in the midnight sky

Their eyes they are twinkling

With such joyous light.

But morning is coming

And they fade with the night

Now laughter is sounding

Like all your goodbyes.

I want to take a star

And hold it in my hand

I want to keep a star

So it never leaves again

I want that twinkle

To wake me in the morning

I want that light

To shine without end.
