employer.
The Objective Statement
There is plenty said about the objective statement. The key is to remember what it really needs to say, and even more important is how it says it. Put yourself in the position of the company that is your prospective employer. Then, write what you will add to the company and direct it towards the employer .
Thinking about what they are looking for, you should demonstrate precisely why you will be an important addition t their company. The purpose of a resume is to make you a compelling hire, after all.
The Qualifications
Effective resumes list the winning qualifications. While the content of your qualifications is very important, so is the presentation. The scope from which you identify your qualifications should be concrete.
Focus on:
Adding measurable statisticsProviding achievementsMaintaining consistencyUsing action verbs
The Theme
Finally, the winning resume operates with a theme. The entire resume should have a targeted theme consistent to the all of its content and relevant to the position applied for. In targeting your resume for a specific theme, think about the position you are applying for, your best qualifications, and what you will add to the company. If you wanted to be a nurse, for example, you may highlight your great communication skills and your strong education, as well how you could be an asset to the hospital as a member of their team.
In writing a resume, the fundamental areas of content are the objective statement, the qualifications, and the experience. If focus all of this content together will a clear and relevant theme, you will write a winning resume.
