Thank you Veteran, for giving up your time, to serve for us...
Time that could've been spent laying in the grass watching clouds take form in Spring
Time so precious that it cannot be replaced, or re-assigned, or retrieved in any way...
Thank you Veteran, for giving up your family, to serve for us...
That Birthday that you were not there for, or that first step taken with a wobble
needing a steady hand that was far away.
Thank you Veteran, for giving up your innocence, to serve for us...
Watch a man die, and never be the same...living with the memory of who and what is lying in wait.
Only moments away from death.
Thank you Veteran, for giving up your life, to serve for us...
To never know the full life you were promised, to see your home again with those new eyes that no longer see.
You have given all...to serve for us.

~ A Veteran's Choice ~
By: Just Another Vet
With open heart and open hand, my thanks to all who serve
in air, at sea, or
Listening to Freedom's Call
I sit here tonight, watching the fireworks show outside my window, mesmerized by the radiant
by Bobby Coles
Thanks to our Veteran's far and wide
All of the brave militant soldier's
You fight to protect the rights of all
So we may
Remember the lost
whos lives were the cost
When everything blew
is was all so new
Those who have fallen
we can still hear
Crying in his sleep
Screaming in the night
Lying in an ice-cold sweat
Waking up in fright.
Was that the click of a rifle?
