The Treasure
When we are old -remembering.
The lives we chose to live
In the present - we're still capturing
Moments like movies - on colored film to play
Quietly we're watching seconds slipping by
Seems they're in slow motion - while we laugh - and sometimes cry
When we're old - a precious memory
Will be more valuable than all our gold
A gentle soul to walk with - or a shoulder to lay on
All the treasures we need for living
All the riches we will need - can be built now for a lifetime
Today - before we're old!
