Poetry: Emotional wounds

by Alex Oliver

Created on: November 11, 2008

Abusive Bullies

She feels rejected, scared and abused
No longer a woman, but a thing to be used
Feeling trapped, because an abuser can
This evil excuse, for a proper man

Hiding his crimes time after time
She desperately thinks, all will be fine
After the temper then come the tears
Same old excuse, that she's heard for years

Her self esteem shattered, by a bully's hand
Scared to stand up and her rights to demand
Love and respect, that's now hidden by mist
Without feeling his temper, at the end of his fist
