If you are just starting out to learn about internet marketing, so that you can stay at home with the kids, or supplement the income from your day job, it can be overwhelming to go into this learning curve. You can begin by googling "internet marketing" and you'll be deluged with sites and ads. And there will be a lot of opportunities for the "INSTANT AUTO-PILOT" type of business.

How do you get through all that data? How do you invest your time, money, energy and get the best results? Can you find a safe business with any guarantee of the outcome? There are obvious hypemasters with bright banners and hard-sell pages. It doesn't hurt to subscribe to a list offering a newsletter, free course or report, because you can always unsubscribe. Your patience and perseverance will be needed, in reading and sifting through all the information that can be accessed.

Sometimes you'll be hit with a deluge of e-mails with a lot of pressure to sign up NOW. You are missing out on "your checks" that are being sent to other people who did sign up! The catch with this type of business, judging from the ones I've followed up on, is that they will give you all the information you need about it EXCEPT for the cost of being involved. The expenses you will have to meet to get "your checks" is not revealed or even hinted at.

You have to sign up first for that info. A couple I checked out had excellent products and looked easy to sell - things people want. However, that piece of information on the business owner's expense was hidden.

You can get your money back from most internet marketers - but what about your precious time?

Just keep searching- you'll find a forum or two where you can read the discussions about the exact business you want to know about, and you'll get the numbers.

I have seen several of these opportunities where your cost of operating is missing, and the system is presented as automated with little work needed. If only!

It's fun to search and get excited about starting up a business. Enthusiasm is the driving force. Take your time and look at many of the offers that abound.... because you'll also get a feel for how you will promote whatever product or service you end up marketing.
