Today's youth on their own

As a young adult, you are thrown into this lifestyle of values, rules, mediocrity, and harsh decisions. But what are todays youth doing?
Giving in to the video games that await them at home. Playing cards at school with free time. Dealing drugs on the street. Gambling. Having sex. Running the street.
Started from mediocre to the harshest possibility, but all having the same effect.
Children and teens are all brought up with different values and beliefs. Coming from different backgrounds and religions, differences are to be expected. Whats not to be expected are the drugs, sex, and violence that is increasing. People ask where are the parents.
Well, kids these days aren't spending most of their time with their parents. Most of their time is being spent with the t.v, others, and finally school.
School programs are increasing, and becoming increasingly expensive, especially with cuts going about. But who's teaching are children? Who's showing them the facts of life? Who's showing them how to become a self-positioned adult? Themselves.
Todays youth on their own don't know how to rent an apartment, or even how to gain the credit necessary to even start to think about one. Usually by that time the parent just signs away on it, thus proving, what have todays youth learned? Partying, social drinking, sex, drugs and rock and roll have not died. Just been fueled by the media and the home. Todays youth on their own lack what is truly needed. Guidance and firm hand.
