Please read the email, that I wrote.
I send them everyday, and I hope.
I haven't seen you in so long, what is it I did wrong;
Please read the email that i wrote.
Please read the card that I sent.
I tried to keep it funny, so you might relent.
maybe if you see how much i care, I'll look up and see you there;
Please read the card that i sent.
Please come and see me once again.
I always thought that I would be, if nothing else, your friend;
Please come and see me, by and by.
You don't know how much this makes me cry.
Please come and see me, once again.
When I looked into your eyes, and saw your soul,
You gave yourself away, and I saw hope-
I saw more than you wanted me to know.
And pain goes through my heart like a sword.
Please, look at me now, once again.
I think God looks down at us and laughs,
And He amuses Himself with our gaffes.
I love one of His own-
now my heart calls despair home,
Please read the email that I wrote.
