I was independent, a free spirit loving life
And then you came long.
Strong, tall and mysterious
You awoke a passion that I had never felt before.
Dominated me beyond my self control
And in the end I felt you stifled me with your protection.
I hate the way you love me
And I hated myself for still wanting you.
I remember the strength of your arms
The hardness of your chest pressed tightly to mine.
Your fiery kiss that made me submit
And then I would remember your constant watchful eye
As I moved around the room hoping that no-one else would come near me.
You knew I loved you and could not live without you
But still I hate the way you love me.
I loved control and so did you.
Both independent and in command with our own worlds
Yes, you owned me body and soul
And yet still I hate the way you love me.

Poetry: I hate the way you love me
by Jon Coe
I stand alone, upon this baron land
thinking you gave me, a helping hand
You cut up my friends and dragged them away
although
I hate the way you love me
She sitting tears running down her face
He looking away into empty space
“ I hate you, and
Doom'd Love, Tortur'd Love
I hate the way you love me
In these brief and stolen moments.
These illicit nights we spend together
It took me a long time to understand
The meaning of love and hate
But now I think I understand
As I have found it in only
by Hanna Joseff
I hate the way you love me
How you say you are going to call and just leave me waiting
I hate it when you send me a thousand
