While the moves are always concentrated these will be done at a faster pace. If you are interested in burning calories while strengthening the body, you may want to try these. These forms of Yoga are done at a quicker pace while still concentrating on correct form.
Bikram Yoga (also known as hot yoga) Birkram Yoga is a done at a moderately fast pace in a very hot room.
Ashtanga Yoga is a series of movements that produce intense internal heat in order to purify the body.
Power Yoga focuses on strength and flexibility and may vary greatly depending on the instructor.
Which Type is Right for Me?
While a few different forms of Yoga have been mentioned above there are in all about nineteen different forms of Yoga. It is best to try a variety of different forms of Yoga to see which ones you personally prefer doing. You may find you prefer only one or you might prefer doing a combination of a variety of forms.
After you learn the basics, you will be able to customize your yoga experience any way you wish. It is important to be sure you learn the basic moves correctly as incorrect movements or improper form could result in accidental injury.
