A look at the coolest boys' clothing lines

Created on: November 10, 2008

There are many cool clothing lines for boys, but then again it depends on what is considered "cool". Some schools may think that boys are cool if they shop at Hollister, American Eagle, Aeropostle, Abercrombie and Fitch, etc. Although that ripped-jean brand name shirt shops are more veered toward being "preppy". Another concern is some stores (especially Abercrombie and Fitch), are very expensive. My parents approve of American Eagle above all of the other shops because it has good clothing material, there is always great clothes on the sale rack, and none of the pants are ripped or overpriced.

Another cool clothes line are from the store called Urban Outfitters. The store had a variety of $28 dollar graphic tees, but some of the cool shirts are on sale for $9.99. My friend recently bought two $28 shirts from there. One shirt had a picture of Max from Where the Wild Things Are and the other shirt featured Green Eggs and Ham in Italian. I purchased a sale shirt that diplayed the article of "Man Lands on the Moon." Besides the shirts, Urban Outfitters sells sweaters and long sleeves with usually simple stripes or patterns but very good quality of material. This store also sells scarfs, belts, retro socks, and many other unique clothing options. All in all, Urban Outfitters is sadly rather costly.

A more affordable option for boys' clothing is Old Navy and Gap. They have a wide range of clothes with appealing colors. At Old Navy there is always a big sale section with many "cool" shirts and great-fitting pants or shorts. Gap it a little more expensive but in my opinion, is more "cool" than Old Navy.

A growing sensation of boys' clothing is online clothing stores. My favorite online store is threadless.com. Threadless offers hoodies and shirts for guys but no pants. This website allows aspiring artists to submit their designs and later turned into a shirt to be sold. There is also slogan t-shirts. A plus for this website shop is some of the shirts are on sale for $9. Any boy who visits this website can find a shirt in which they consider "cool".

To sum it up, there are many cool boys' clothing lines out there, but the choice really depends on what the boy likes. I have shopped at each of these shops I have wrote about and have received compliments on many of the garments. I hope at least one of the options above will spark a boy's interest and boost his inner popularity.
