What gossip?
That's the ideal attitude we live as we go about the daily office routine, as if gossip was a way of life.
Sink or Swim? That is the question.
If you haven't already known that gossip is a deadly weapon towards others for your own insecurities. Do you attract it?, live it?, or try to avoid it?. For business, it is a total understanding if the company is doing well or not. Gossip can be the very cancer that goes with miss management. If gossip is allowed, than there is no respect in the businesses success. Gossip is failure, and a temporary band-aid to bad management.
Have trying to avoid gossip ever make you feel like you will lose your job if you don't participate in it, or allow it to be brought upon you?
Be strong, it's not you! it's them,
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD -GHANDI
It's not easy being the saint! the silent leader with no recognition, but at least you know you shouldn't have to avoid the gossip but merely be gossiped or praised about you as a role model they can't phantom to be themselves. And when they ain't got nothing but everything nice to say about you. Then hocus pocus. Must you be in need to avoid the gossip traps and uncomfortable setbacks?
BE THE POSITIVE LEADER/ROLE MODEL
So being the positive leader/role model it takes a lot that no human can't accomplish if they only put their mind and actions together. Reprogram yourself, take leadership and management role books! think success for yourself that others will want to be like you even if your just the receptionist. To do so, there is a few things you must keep in mind. Accountability, Integrity, persistence and humbleness. Take matters in your own hands as much as you can, that you know you can handle. Don't hesitate to put all into one with what you encounter and take responsibility for.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Don't ever hesitate whether it's good or bad to take responsibility for your own actions, it's the truth that can set you free and honestly who wouldn't want someone there for you to work with that you can count on for mostly not the task but your responsibility for your own actions from your own decisions. No one wants to work with someone they need to cover, pick up the slack or lie for.
INTEGRITY: Who'd want to talk about someone that is so cheerful and honest? I must say, as long as I know, there are people out there that does. But the one thing that keeps them from repeating there nonsense is YOUR INTEGRITY SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS, just like actions speaks louder
