Poetry: Crazy in love

by Modest Alchemist

Created on: November 10, 2008

I'll never forget how we met that day.
The way I was being too slow to join the others to play.

You came and met me not far from the group.
And you picked me up in one fail swoop.

Folded over your shoulder; the ground moving swiftly past
It was the beginning of my calloused heart's cast.

And you set me down again
And my head began to spin

For me, forever begain that day
And I longed for you to feel the same way

Later on that year,
When we would sit very near

I told you,
"I really dig you"

And that one time we traveled
It all soon unraveled

When we were in a middle of nowhere town
And that other guy took me around

You said to me,
"I don't have to worry about you leaving me?"

And later on the couch that night
You held me ever so tight

Now more than 3 years have passed
And it seems that this relationship will last

As we've been through thick and thin
And it's like it will never end
