Great Classic Christmas Movies That Can Be Watched by the Whole Family
The movies below are great holiday classics that can happily be watched by one and all. Enough slap stick for the little ones but enough smart humor to keep the adults entertained as well.
A Christmas Story - "You'll shoot your eye out!" The holidays are just not the holidays if you do not catch this classic at least once or twice during the season. It centers around a young boy who wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas more than anything in the world. Filled with memorable scenes for the whole family to enjoy. A sexy "Italian" lamp and a headless goose for Christmas dinner are just two of the scenes that will have your family rolling with laughter. Starring Peter Billingsley.
National Lampoons - A Christmas Vacation - Poor Clark! If Murphy's Law applied to anyone it would be the Griswold family. Filled with one funny mishap after another, it will definitely put your holiday craziness into perspective. Starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo.
The Santa Claus - A reluctant Tim Allen gets the job of Santa Claus after the "real" Santa has the misfortune of falling off his roof. Another funny comedy to keep both kids and adults entertained. Starring Tim Allen and Judge Reinhold.
Home Alone - A 10 year old boy who gets left behind accidentally when his family goes away for the holidays, must fend for himself when two bungling burglars decide to break into his family home. Filled with many funny (and some pain-wincing moments) as he sets up clever booby traps to stop them. Starring Macaulay Culkin.
Trading Places - This is the story of two callous millionaires who decide to make a bet. What would happen if you switch the lives of a snobbish investor with a wily street con artist? Would one be successful while the other turned to crime? What would they do if they found out they were being manipulated? Another funny and clever holiday classic from beginning to end. Starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd
Christmas with the Kranks - So you find out your daughter will not be home for the holidays and you decide to forgo all the Christmas hoopla in exchange for a wonderful cruise. Only then to find out on Christmas Eve that she is coming home after all and is expecting all the trimmings. Is there anyway to save her Christmas? Starring Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd.
Jingle All The Way - The only thing his son wanted for Christmas was a Turbo Man doll. Which would be fine except that Dad forgot to buy it and now has to try and find one on Christmas Eve. Hilarity ensues at what a parent would go through to get their child the "must have" item of the year. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad, Phil Hartman and Rita Wilson.
