When you think about poetry what comes to mind? Do you think of nothing but rhymes and familiar words put together? But what does poetry really mean? What do you really get out of poetry?

Thats what most people have in mind when a person brings up poetry. But personally I think its different, I think poetry comes from within. Poetry comes from a place deep within, a place where a person may keep all their secrets hidden inside. Things that they don't get the chance to say aloud. I think that poetry brings out the true person from within, the real person that is never really seen.

You see poetry gives you the chance to write down all your feelings aloud. Poetry gives you all the chances in life that words and even people don't give you. Sometimes people don't give you the chance to do or say all the things that your feeling from within. Poetry is just one of those things that is all your own. Something that no one can give you and something that no one can ever take away from you.

Coming from experience poetry is just a powerful feeling, there's no real way to explain how poetry makes you feel. It's just one of those things that makes you feel like your on top of the world. Poetry sometimes gives you the power to be who you really are, it gives you the chance to actually show people that you have something to show for yourself. Poetry does give you the ability to bring out yourself into who you want to be.

It gives you the chance to say on paper what you can't seem to say aloud. So for all you people out there, just remember this! Remember that you do have something inside to offer the world. You do have something within that can give you the power to have something truly great. That my friends is what poetry is all about. So to everyone out there just bring out the poetry from within yourself. Let the poetry from inside yourself out onto others as if you really had the chance to show who you really are. To show the world that poetry comes from within all of us and its not something that can easily be taken away.
