Poetry: Death of a parent

by Emelia Rose

Created on: November 10, 2008

Lost in memory, fair woman was she. Best friend, no words needed to be said.

Loved and admired. What a hard life she had to live with the other we call dad.

Elvis, The Rose, Lady in Red, these things remembered as I lay in bed.

Death came upon her so suddenly. Tears trickle slowly for my mother, best friend.
