Deck your halls with boughs of holly or one of these other Christmas decoration ideas to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Whatever your style; from down-home country to stylishly elegant to ultra modern, they're all beautiful and one will be just right for your home.

Outside Decorations

*Cut an X in ping-pong balls with a craft knife and cover each light on a string of LED Christmas lights. The light slides easily into the ball and the color is amplified. Great idea for keeping your lights from tangling in the winter wind. See them

here.

*Create a unique reindeer from a few short pieces of logs, branches and twigs. Find the free plans for making one here.

*Using a weathered piece of board, paint a sign that says "Reindeer Crossing" or "Santa Stop." Nail a three-foot stake to the back and display in the front yard.

*Gather several long dead tree limbs with lots of branches and bind them together to form a tree. Plant the tree trunk in the yard and smear peanut butter for the birds on the trunk. Decorate the branches with mini Christmas lights for nighttime and strung popcorn and cranberries to attract bird during the day.

Fireplace And Mantles

*Place magnolia tree branches on the mantle and add several of the large magnolia seed-pods that have been lightly brushed with gold or red paint. Weave ribbon through the leaves and add tapers across the mantle. This same decorating tip can be done with hemlock, cedar, pine or spruce. Just use pine-cones in place of the seedpods.

*Using clear glass building blocks, drill a hole in one side and stuff mini Christmas tree lights into the opening, leaving the plug enough length to plug in. Tie a wide ribbon around the block and place a box on the top. You can use mixed lights or just one color and create a beautiful arrangement with several of these. See and buy them here

*Fill unused fireplaces with pine-cones, logs with sprayed on snow or an arrangement of pillar candles. Place a basket full of decorated pine-cone fire starters beside the fireplace hearth. Learn how to make fire starters here.

*Drape pine, holly or other green garland from the mantle and hang your Christmas stockings. Add a few items to the stocking such as a baby doll or candy cane sticking out the top.

Wreaths For Doors And Windows

*Christmas wreaths are easy to make using a base of chicken wire, Styrofoam or woven vines. Any greenery will look Christmassy once you add ribbons, pine-cones, bows, Nandina berries or even silk and dried flowers.

*Set
