Ten reasons why I voted for Barack Obama

Top 10 reasons I voted for Barack Obama:

1. He won the contest for saying "uuhhh " more times than the other candidates combined.

2. He's just one of us. He has Freudian slips just like everyone else like when he met Joe the plumber and uttered the share the wealth comment, accidentally proving his communistic tendencies.

3. Being from Chicago he is used to rough-and-tumble politics and knows the benefit of having the right friends. A little digging by the media would have discovered his relationship of over 20 years with Bozo the clown, a little known fact.

4. Everyone knows that he is of mixed heritage: African from his father, Caucasian from his mother, and Greek from his uncle Meiko. Where do you think he got the Greek columns from?

5. You know this is a tough man. His middle name is Hussein. He must've been really picked on especially after Saddam invaded Kuwait. It's like if Rudy Giuliani had the middle name of Mussolini.

6. We needed a change, the theme of the President-elect's campaign. That must be why he picked a vice president who's been a Washington insider for 30 years and his first appointment, White House Chief of Staff, has been in Washington almost 20 years working for the Clinton Administration and as a congressman. Sounds more like back to the future to me.

7. I voted for him because of his stance on terrorism and America's reaction to terrorist aggression. You have to figure that a man who's had a close association with an admitted, unrepentant terrorist, a radical leader of a national movement who has said publicly that Israel should not exist, that the races should be separate, and advocates violence to achieve those ends, and had his spiritual advisor proclaim in church that America brought terrorist acts upon itself because of its policies towards African-Americans, should understand the mindset of terrorists and that during those 20 odd years was actually working undercover to gain such information.

8. Did you see him dance on the Ellen show? Great oratory, good looks, slim, and can dance. Sounds like he can do it all. Just ask him. Yes he can.

9. I voted for Obama because of the partisan lies being spread by the other party. Like using Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden quotes from the primary season which showed a 180 change in position or policy by President-elect Obama between the primaries and the general election. How partisan and the other party be to use members of Mr. Obama's own party against him?

10. The country needs a different face in Washington, a new paradigm. President-Elect Obama brings us such a shift in perspective. I know, I know, he would not pass the background check for a job as a prison guard or customs official. And that's the problem. People get so caught up in the technicalities that the historical significance of electing him was almost lost in the shuffle. Despite the fact that President-elect Obama could not be approved for a top-secret clearance, he has overcome that limitation to become Commander-in-Chief. Yes he can.
