Who could ever imagine that an object which started as a simple piece of entertainment could lead to the destruction of a teenager's life? Video games, yes you read it right, this piece of entertainment greatly affect the lives of anyone who plays it especially the teens. It influences teenagers to neglect school, be violent and have an unhealthy life.

In our fathers' days, playing video games are very uncommon. Usually, only the rich people could buy this game consoles because it was too expensive. Still, they should complete their homework first and do some household chores before they could play their original Nintendo. Now, things are quite different from what it used to be before. Video game industry had become a multimillion industry thus making it very popular to people especially to young children and teenagers. For this reason, school performance dramatically decreases through the course of time. Most students' (commonly boys) interest was put into these exciting games and not on their studies. Due to video games, teenagers tend to neglect their studies, education and their possible future. The graphics of these games grab more of their attention than the letters written in their text books. Reading books is not a habit now unlike before where if someone got bored or have a spare time, they usually spend time reading books to gain more knowledge. In our modern time instead of holding their books and study, they hold their controllers and play. Many teenage boys had become virtually addicted to these games. They forget to do their homework, projects and school stuffs just for the sake of playing their Nintendo Wiis and PS3s. And far more damaging is they miss school because they stay up all night playing counterstrike, grand theft auto and all those addicting video games. Not only that this so called video games damage a teenagers education it also influence them and show them the way to individual violence.

The gunfire of counter strike, the car stealing and prostitutes of grand theft auto and many more violent acts from games that teenagers play had been a big impact not only in their minds but also on how they interact within the society. All of this violence could be transferred and stocked in minds of anyone who plays it. As they continue to play those kinds of games the initial reaction about violence eventually decreases. Meaning, they become more and more immune to this violence which make them feel that killing and slaughtering images were
