I am a mother of twin girls and I am also pregnant with my second set. Even though I have beent through this before, their birth is still just as important as my other children's birth. They deserve to have as much recognition as possible.
Whether it is a singleton birth or sextuplets, every child deserves to have their own birth announcements. Every singleton has their own birth announcement. They don't share it with another child born at the same hospital at the same time. So just because two children are born at the same time ultimately makes them share a birth announcement? I don't think so. Everyone is an individual and deserve the oneness. With having twins myself, I have one set and I am pregnant with my second set I can say that it is important that they have their own. Each twin has their own baby book so they need their own birth announcement to put in their baby book. Every child is unique and every child deserves to have their own separate birth announcement because their birth is just as special as a singletons birth.
If we were to have just one birth announcement for each set of twins that would not provide the seperateness that each of them needs. As a mom of twins like I said before, I definitely want each of my children to feel special like that. Like they are special enough to have their own page or just their own birth announcement. It does very well for the child's personality and for their self-esteem when they get older.
If you start them out with having the same birth announcement then you are most likely to say that they will be sharing everything else in life instead of them having their own of something. Just like when they get old enough to have a bike, they will not share it, they will have their own. Just like with everything else. Their own backpack for school, their own school supplies and hopefully their own cars when they get older. Just because they are twins does not mean that they need to share everything.
So, for all you parents of twins out there is very important for your children to have their own birth announcement. To know that they are special enough to be seperate at this special time of their lives. They are only born once, you will only get that one chance to do this, do not make a mistake that you may regret later on in life when your children get older and they question why they are sharing a birth announcement.
Just remember, everyone is an individual. Everyone deserves their own birth announcement. They will cherish it when they get older.
