Designing your own room can be very complicated. To get it right the first time you will have to take care with measurements and other things that you will have to do whilst designing your own room.

In this article I will guide you through the main things that you will need to do to succeed in designing your own room.

Firstly, you will need an A3 Sheet of paper a pencil, rubber and maybe a pencil sharpener.

Next, you will need to measure the walls around your room.

For example if you have a room which is a rectangular shape you would measure 4 walls.

If your room is a shape which has a lot of sides it is hard to explain simply how you would do this but it will be simple to adjust this to suit your rooms needs.

After you have measured the walls note them down on some scrap paper.

Next you will have lookup on line for the furniture you want in your room, a bed, drawers etc.

When you have found the ones you want use scrap paper to draw out the sizes of the draws and put them against walls etc and see which way fits best.

You will have to search for a while until you have found the right package of furniture to fit your room.

When you are confident that you have found the right furniture that you like and will fit your room, you then will draw this out neatly on the A3 paper to make sure that it will fit.

When you know that it will fit you can buy the furniture and you're ready to put it together when it comes to your door and place it in the correct place.

In addition to all of the above, when searching on line for the furniture package which you will buy, do not buy off any random site, use the main shopping sites like B&Q and other sites.

If you just use any sites you might be ripped off for your money. Also, make sure that you have guarantees and money back guarantees. In the past when i have ordered furniture i have found that they are either damaged or pieces are missing and if you don't have any guarantees you will not be able to get the pieces that are missing or a replacement. Therefore you will not be able to use the furniture and you will have lost your money.

Also, when ordering your furniture on line, If you find a piece you like and for example it is from B&Q find out on line if it is in stock at any store and go to your nearest store and have a look at it and you will know what it looks like because images can sometimes be deceiving
