Life At 2:30 am
E-mailing
Facebook chatting
T.V. watching
Events happening
A writer is writing
A publisher is reading
Dating
Breaking up
Marrying
Divorcing
Target shopping
A clerk is working
A student is studying
A teacher is preparing
A passenger is flying
A business man is staying
A truck driver is driving
Someone is dieing
Someone is being born
A child is sleeping
A mother is rocking
A soldier is protecting
A runaway is calling
A doctor is healing
An addict is quitting
A family is intervening
God is watching
Jesus is saving

Poetry: At 2:30 am
by Liyah M.
Staring up at the ceiling,
Late, late at night
The bicker and banter from across the hall
Is getting to me alright
Trying
by Elena Ryder
How do you find poetry at 2:30 AM?
in the arms of a lover
in the laugh of a friend
in the breath of a moment
sipping a cup
Lying in bed
The glow-in-the-dark stars
Hanging from the ceiling
Toss and turn
Without success
No sleep
Turn to the right
At 2:30 A.M.
It's almost time;
My pains are close.
I'm ready now-
And here he comes!
(Twenty-something years
Midnight bells have long since chimed
In the towns of the battlefield
Bayonets sharpened the men are primed
To charge
