Love Not Forgotten
We didn't meet by fate; we met just like anyone else would
I saw you and I took a chance
It was nothing out of the ordinary
But it was true and it was real
My mouth would water when our lips met; I can still taste them
When our bodies touched my heart warmed as if it was a fireplace
When we were one I felt anew
Without the sun the earth would fade
Your comfort was the sun and I was the weary traveler
Your warmth eased my pain
Your presence eased my sorrow
If only I could step into the past
My mistakes would be few
My actions would be forever welcoming
You would see me as another person, a better person
You would embrace me and tell me you love me
