Blame is a great excuse, a way to excuse ourselves for our own doings. God has been made a scapegoat' for the mistakes of man. It all depends on how you look at things and your faith or religion. In my belief, God (or the Source of our existence) has created us, offered us an opportunity to live our life (or lives) and given us a carte blanche in our own process of learning. He sits back, watches and waits, to see how we cope, what paths we take in our particular life we have chosen and He gives us the opportunity to learn by our own mistakes. We are given choices and paths in life and we make the decisions as to which way we will go. We are given guidance as we go along but if we ignore the signs then it is all part of the learning process. We all have the skills and resources within, an inner voice, an ability to tap into the spiritual realms and the assistance of our spiritual helpers.
When we do go astray, we are sometimes given a quick shock which brings us back to basics again. We are born pure, even though we might carry things from the past with us. We spend most of our lives questioning things that seem to go wrong beyond our own control but this was the choice we made when we came to this world. At times of trouble we all turn to our various different Bibles or we run to other people for help. These are coping strategies and provide the support we need to move on. We can also tap into the power of God and listen quietly to His response. We wait for signs and for other people to give us the impetus to make the right decision and sometimes the experience of others is the first step to self-help.
The key to the question is the knowledge that people have at their fingertips that they ignore. We can be victims or we can be perpetrators of bad things. We have all learned through our various religions and through society that certain things are wrong, that they will either damage ourselves, others, or the world, but we still go on ahead and permit things to happen. Even when we are victims we still remain guilty in our silence when really we should be protecting others by being brave and speaking out. Up to a point, we are to blame for the bad things. We are caught in a world and an atmosphere which is punitive. Some of us choose to have very hard lives where we are victims, we lose our soulmates, our children, our parents, we have illness in our lives, we are poor to the point of starving, we have no home. Some of us choose through our life events to become bullies, addicted to sex, drugs, alcohol and we become damaging to ourselves and to other people. If we are self-destructive we don't realise how it affects other people around us. Our world is a learning process and we are moving towards taking more care of it after having ruined it. There are a certain number of natural disasters which happen and they are just part of the atmosphere we are in, we have to accept that.
How we cope with our life on this planet is deep within and we need to tap into the knowledge of God to work out how. The one thing we must remember is that after it all ends, we are back to the loving realms of God where our souls become pure again. We have to analyse what we did right and what we did wrong and the one important thing, is never to lay blame with God for anything that goes wrong in our lives.
