While there are many common reasons to vote for President Elect Barack Obama, anyone can see the significance and transitions that will not only happen in the White House, but also to America as a whole..........

1. My number one reason: The promise that not just the plans designed by a new president to alter the outcome of the country to the rest of the world, but the change in our own opinions right here at home. That we have evolved as a culture, and that by voting for Obama, I can put my hand into this election and serve the end product. I, as an American, wanted the world to recognize that neither color, race, or religion are important anymore when it comes to choosing a leader for our country. The man best suited for the job is most important.

2. I live in Illinois, and have seen the outcome of his work in the Senate and for our State as a representative to the people, and in my view, has succeeded already, even before the Presidency.

3. His character as a Senator, has been to serve the needs of the people, and not for his own gains in the political playing field. Often, in the past, standing where no politician wishes to stand, between the Big Business and the People.

4. Choosing his own way, even in the debates and rumoured accusations by opponents, he stuck to the real issues that concerned Americans as a whole. Both big and small economies can be securely represented by Obama in a fair distinction of their varying needs.

5. He stands out, against all odds, faces a nation that has been divided by war and the system that has led to so many to question our government, giving us all new hope for the return of freedom to the people. By representing us before all the nations of the world, to bring peace, not to seek war where war is not necessary.

6. Health care: The need for everyone to have affordable and fair health care is something that all other candidates have overlooked. I believe in his plan and design, for what are we, if we can't protect our health?

7. Obama can and has already changed our view on public leaders to step out of the political box and give back the "service to the people" and represent us in the actions he will take as President.

8. He reunites the nation of diverse cultures together for a single purpose, to unite us under our flag and to represent that the beauty of America are it's people and diversity.

9. Standing against the old-school politicians, he has always chosen the right way to handle the opposition. Although he has not been on the playing field for long, he emotionally pulls on the public strings in us all with his words, and the sincerity of those words reflect on us all.

10. Obama challenges the system as it has been run, to serve the rich and to hide the poor. He stands up and puts the suffering of the poor on the plates of the rich, and reminds them where the food on their plate comes from, the hard-working Americans that go to work everyday. Struggling to make ends meet.

I really believe in Obama as President, and I know we have great things to come. It may not all take place in a year, but by the time he has served his time in office, the United States will be a reunited nation.
