Mr. President Elect Obama; how comforting that sounds to me after all these months of following the campaigns.

I watched you grow right before my eyes and become the best hope this nation has seen in many years.
You brought something to politics that I haven't seen since Kennedy; hope.

This is the underlying reason you got my vote and why I told everyone I knew to check you out and vote for you as well. You are a man of hope. Many before you were men of dreams, but without hope those dreams are not built upon nor realized.

Barrack, I voted for you because you understand people. You listen and take into consideration what each person feels and you always offer respect and honor for the person whether you agree or not.

You don't feel that being strong is the same as being angry and vengeful. You stay a steady course of calm determination to do what is right, even when it's not popular.

I appreciate your subtle sense of humor; you can laugh at yourself and the accusations thrown in your direction. You stay centered and ready always to move forward to what's really important; change.

You have motivated people in this nation to take part in our government, believing once again that they can and do make a difference. You helped them to believe in themselves, which is the foundation of America.

Your intelligence motivates you to learn more, grow more and understand more. Your ego is under control as you enjoy surrounding yourself with wise and knowledgeable people and work with them for the greater good of the whole nation, not just a select few.

Barrack, I trust you to be a president of all the people, bringing change not only to policies, but to continue inspiring each citizen to work for change on a personal level. You believe in personal responsibility and remind us that it is our job to make our nation work for all of us.

You encourage the people, the citizens, to take back this nation. For too many years Americans have relinquished it all to the government, expecting elected men and women to create for us what we would not put our hands to do. Now you remind us that our great nation was founded Of the People, By the People, For the People.

You represent the New America. A nation that works together as one people for common goals. You believe in moving forward rather than standing still. Your support of new technology, inventive and creative ways to move away from oil, thus moving away from a warring attitude inspires me.

Barrack, you think enough of each American to help us provide health care for everyone, to guarantee eduction for all who wish to learn more, be more, do more.
You believe in a person's right to choose, whether it's in agreement with your core values or not. You offer freedom to each person to decide whether to be all they can and motivate them to believe in themselves. This is a great gift.

I voted for you Barrack Obama because I believe in hope. I believe in the power of Americans to do more, be more and build a more perfect nation. Together, yes, we can.
