Ten reasons why I did not vote for John McCain

John McCain, how far down the ladder of my respect you have come. I suppose I owe it to you to tell you the reasons I didn't vote for you.

Let's start with your voting with President Bush 90% of the time. As Bush took this country into debt, used fear to keep us in line and afraid to speak out against his policy, you were right there with him.

John, you don't know or understand the first thing about regular working people in this nation.

Joe the Plumber isn't one of us, he's one of your plants, his only job is to feed the fear and confusion that your campaign seemed to be all about.

You believe in tax breaks for the super wealthy and falsely think that trickle down economics will work if you do it often enough.

Digging and drilling all over our country so that we can stay dependent on oil just doesn't cut it anymore John. We want new technology, cleaner, safer, cheaper technology, that moves us forward as a nation and as a people.

John, you lie. You spread gossip and fuel hatred and racism in this nation. That isn't "Maverick", that's backwards thinking.

Another thing, this War in Iraq. Just how long would you have us stay there? How many lives and how much money must we fuel into this war based on lies of weapons of mass destruction? What's that all about John?

Your attitude about Iran, "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran". Really John?

Lies, lies and more lies John. You halt your campaign and really don't. Who do you think you're fooling with these antics?

You are out of touch with the people of this great country John. We don't want to go back to name calling in politics. We've done that already. Tell me why I should vote for you, not try to sway me with innuendo about the other guy being different than me. You're different than me too. Is this a reason not to vote for anyone?

Lastly, John, you're old. Not that I mind your age, it's your old thinking that I didn't vote for. Being a child of the south I grew up with racism, fear and hatred. I don't want to go back to that. It's taken too many lives, too many dreams to move us forward and I just couldn't vote for someone who wants to take us backward.

Rather than talking about what you wanted to do for this nation, you spent your time, money and energy trying to make me afraid. You threw out accusations like candy to a mob of starving children. Words like different, terrorists, socialists; these and other hate baiting words John have no place in this nation anymore.

Once I saw the True John McCain in action. When you took the mic from the woman in the rally and assured her that Obama wasn't Muslim, but was indeed a very good man and true American, I was proud of you. Why did you start that line of campaigning to start with John?

Ask your right wing friends about "you reap what you sow". You did just that John.
