Will Sarah Palin get a second chance at the presidency?

Is this nation ready for Sarah Palin as president? The mere thought of such a thing happening feels like a nightmare in which I awake screaming NO!

When John McCain first announced her I knew he was trying to get Hillary supporters to move over to his side. What he didn't count on was that the women who supported Hillary were smart.

Sarah Palin does not represent the majority of women in this nation. As a woman in my 50's I am appalled at her far right wing stand, her fear mongering and encouragement of racism and willingness to spread gossip.

Not only is Sarah Palin in trouble in this country, the whole republican party needs a make over. Perhaps rather than Sarah spending so much money on new clothing , the republicans should have used that money to run a few polls and figure out what we the people really want from our government.

Sarah as well as a lot of other republicans forget that separation of church and state is in our constitution for a very good reason. The only thing that sets us apart from nations run by dictators and terrorists is that piece of paper which guarantees each citizen specific rights under the law.

As this nation has grown, factions have appeared that wish to take us backwards rather than forward.

Torture in prisons, spying on private citizens, denying people the right to marry due to not agreeing with their life style choices, a move to take away a woman's right to choose whether or not to carry a baby to term, all these are what Sarah represents. She doesn't even know that as a governor she has ethic rules that she is obliged to obey. If she will violate ethics in Alaska, what would she do in the White House?

These are serious flaws not only in Sarah Palin, but in the republican party.

As the republican party became more desperate and felt the only way to win was to spread lies and innuendo about Obama, I was shocked and sickened at what I heard. This fear and hatred spread to the crowds and such things as "kill him, terrorists" were yelled from those attending the rally and not once did she try to stop the fear and hatred. Rather than trying to stop it she put more fuel on the fire. Accusing Obama of being a baby killer and friend to domestic terrorists left me with bitter bile in my stomach.

Sarah Palin represents the worst aspect of women, that cat scratchy, back bitting part that is willing to do anything, say anything to get her way.

Listening to the information coming out of the republican party now we find out that she doesn't even know the countries in North America. She tried shopping till she dropped all over the nation with money that would have been better spent by McCain figuring out what We The People really wanted.

As a woman I would love to see another woman as president of this nation, but not this woman.
