Ten reasons why I voted for Barack Obama

Top Ten Reasons I voted for Obama:

10-He was a democrat: Forget the nonsense about him being a socialist, Obama has brought a breath of fresh air to Washington, and a new voice to the middle class. In four years when 95 percent of the country has extra money thanks to the tax breaks were all going to get, I think that most McCain supporters will be happy to have him too.

9-He got it on the economy: When McCain suspended his campaign Barack was ready to debate the issues, while McCain ran scared. Barack scored a lot of points by not trying to show off, and score political points by "suspending" his campaign.

8-He chose not to vote with Bush: Obama was able to use some foresight and not vote to invade Iraq, knowing that the consequences were grave. Ironically, he also was the first to speak up on Zimbabwe, and the plight there.

7-He won't give up when the odds are long: Talk all you want about George Bush and his resolve to never back down, well Obama has that beat. He not only survived a 21 month election season, but defeated Hillary Clinton, and became the first black president in the US, and this will serve him well when the world calls upon him to defeat a tough enemy.

6-He inspired millions: In a historic election night he did something no one has ever done, he made Jesse Jackson cry.

5-The world will finally believe in us again: The entire planet wanted Obama to win, and that was because they respected him, and just like most Americans, they found him to be the voice of unity and change.

4-His bible is not his constitution: Despite the fact that he is religious, whether it be Christian or Muslim (; he has shown that whatever his personal beliefs are, he will use it to guide his personal life, but not the policy he makes.

3-He has never claimed to be something he is not: He has never called himself a maverick, or one of god's chosen people. He has just said that he was a hard worker who wants to better the lives of average Americans, while expecting them to chip in and help. In his acceptance speech after he won the presidency, his first call was to John McCain to ask for his help in congress to get things done. If that isn't reaching across the aisle, I'm not sure what is.

2-He wants to see a playoff system for Division I football: And quite frankly so would I, and let the little guy play too!

1-He has the potential to be the greatest president the country has ever had. Combine JFK and FDR, and you get BHO!
