How to avoid credit hassles when buying a car

Your credit scored does not have to be perfect in order to purchase a new vehicle. Do not be afraid to shop for the vehicle of your choice.

Sales people tend to pawn off unwanted vehicles off on desperate customers who feel pressured into taking the first offer given to them. If you the consumer have never played a game of poker, now would be the time to learn. Sales people get paid by commission. Meaning, the more a consumer pays for a vehicle the more the sales person will get paid

Consumers should always give a great deal of thought to making a long term purchase. So if there is any doubt whatsoever do not sign on the dotted line.

Oh! Do not worry about your credit score.

The old adage "money talks" is very true. The amount of money that you earn plays a big role as to whether a financial institution will finance you new vehicle.

The finance charges will be almost one-third per cent higher for a consumer with a low credit score that for a consumer with a high score. Paying that higher credit score gives the consumer with the low credit score the opportunity to build credit points.

A consumer should never let a sales person know how much down payment money they have. Always stick to your guns and tell them that you want a no down payment finance plan. The sales person will continue to nudge at you the consumer with an unaffordable financial plan.

The consumer must never fall victim to the numbers game. Stand strong and hold your ground. Just say no. If you are not hearing what you want to hear, get up and start walking out. The sales person will then stop playing the numbers game and deliver some reasonable numbers.

The consumer must maintain control and never show their vulnerability.

Now comes the credit hassle. Most banks will not finance a vehicle without a down payment from a consumer with a low score. This is the point when you make the decision as to whether you want to commit to making payments on a vehicle for the next sixty months.

You the consumer will make the call
