Sarah Palin for President!
Why couldn't she run for President? Why shouldn't she run for President? She is just as qualified as any other politician. In fact, I believe she has more political experience than our newly voted Presidential candidate Barak Obama! She has held office as City Council member, Mayor and Governor of the state of Alaska. Since taking office, she has worked on resource development, education and workforce development, public health and safety, and transportation and infrastructure development as her top priorities. She proved that she is woman of her word.
The question that should be asked is, does she want to run for the office of President of the United States? Has anyone asked her if she wants to hold this office? Would you run for President if you went through the campaign she just went through? She took on the challenge this year with a fast and furious campaign. I think she could do it if she wants to.
She is a down-to-earth female who is doing it all! Sarah is an all-around woman. She is not afraid to play with the big boys in Washington D.C.
I believe that she is now being bashed by the press and those who appeared to be close to her during the campaign. There have been digs at her for her image, some issues with geography...who can't look something up on a map? I haven't looked at a map and I couldn't quote the location of specific parts of the world! She can take a joke and laugh at herself.
I have enjoyed seeing a female on the road to the White House this year. I admit that I am not up on politics and I had not heard of her before she was named as John McCain's Vice Presidential running mate.
She has a good head on her shoulders. I believe she makes the decisions she does for good reason. She wants to leave her children a legacy of improving the environment and making it a life-long challenge to continue her efforts.
She has a typical American family with typical American family issues.
All any parent can do is our best with each situation that life offers us and I believe she is doing the best she can. She continues to fight for issues she believes in. She doesn't back down from a challenge. I admire her as a woman, a mother and a politician. She will come back when the time is right for her. I for one would like to see more women in the policital arena. It is possible for a woman to be president one day. We just have to be prepared for that day with open arms and minds.
Good luck Sarah in whatever you choose to do with your future political career!
