The United States can not afford another 4 years of Republican rule in which politicians only interest is to help the wealthy at the expense of 95% of the country's population. I am proud to say I voted for Obama and here are the 10 reasons why:

Change - This country is ready for change. The United States has been ruled by republicans for too long by older politicians already set in their ways with their own special interests in mind who are not willing to listen to us. Obama speaks and represents change. Obama is willing to change our country to meet the demands of our century and the world. We are ready to go forward and not backwards like the Republicans have for so many years. They reference the Reagan years as if they apply to our world today.

Health care - I believe that health care should be an obligation from the government to its citizens either by providing affordable health care to individuals or helping companies provide it to its employees. A healthier America will result in a smaller expense to the government by not having to pay expensive emergency bills for the uninsured. Obama's plan for health care seems to make more sense than McCain's. McCains plan was to issue a $5,000 benefit to our American families when the average cost of a family plan is $12,000. As of November 4th, my family's plan yearly cost is $11,950. I wonder where McCain wanted me to take the balance from?

Tax Break - Obama will provide a tax break to 95% of our population which is currently suffering the hit of our crumbling economy. I belong to this group as I am not a wealthy individual who would have not enjoyed the benefits of McCain's tax cuts. As of November 4th, I am still not the owner of a large millionaire company.

Blue state or Red State - No - the United States. Obama represents the United States with no regard of political affiliation. He represents us and the the replicans or the democrats.

War - Obama is willing to bring the troops back home in a responsible manner.

Budget - Why as individuals we are forced to live by a budget when our governments spends our tax money so freely. Obama willing to cut spending and invest in programs at the federal and state level that work.

No excuse government - Obama seems to me like the type of person who would assume responsibilty from his mistakes and truly learn from them. He also seems the type to hold people accountable for things not getting done.

Youth - Obama represents the "all American young family". The United States has not had a young family in the White House since the Kennedy administration. We need a family who is young and inspiring. The United States needs a White House to look up to.

McCain - too old to be president. As previously stated, we need to move this country forward with new and fresh ideas. Our governments needs to be reinvented in order to survive the struggles we are living today. Obama will inspire our country and our government to do this.

My final reason for why I voted for Obama is simply stated "Palin".
