Poetry: Kindred spirits

I pray for her, she prays for me. Well our lives didn't turn out like we thought they would be.

But we can look back and laugh and say we fooled them all, because where still here together and they have all gone by the fall.

You know they couldn't understand what we chose to see, that I needed her and she needed me.

We made a safe place for our hearts to hide and our sprits to breathe. We've certainly come a lot farther than they would have every believed.

Kindred spirits we'll be till the end. Till God comes to take us and we both start over again.

Now, I don't know if you'll still sense I'm near. If our voices will ring out and our memories be clear. So I'll take the time while I still have today. To give thanks to the Lord for guiding us on our way.

Kindred spirits we'll be till the end.

Till God comes to take us and both start over again.

I pray for her she prays for me.

This is dedicated to my best friend. We were completely enemies in high school but we ended up being lifetime best friends. Here's to the last 29 years and beyond.
