Touched by Spirit,
Those of us, who choose to believe in some sort of creator, have at one time or another grappled with some very profound questions. Who, or what is God? Is God a He, or a she, or something entirely different? Does God have a plan for me? How does this God feel about me? Am I worthy to receive Gods blessings? and does this God forgive my failings, or will I receive punishment when my time on this earth is over?
Many turn to the organized religions for answers, while others go inward to seek the truth, and then there are the folks who have no idea what the believe, so they push their questions aside, and go about their daily routines. But still these questions sit silently in the back of their minds.
Firstly, what must be understood, and accepted is that there is absolutely nothing that exists outside of the realm of God, so sinning against the creator is impossible. God cannot forgive, what he\she has already deemed to be sacred. And as God has given to us the ability to choose what ever we want to think, say, or do. All thoughts, words, and actions are blessed by God, and therefore considered holy. It is in fact humanity itself that says one thing is good, while another is bad. In spiritual terms, such labels do not exist. God is love, and love never punishes, love gently encourages to try again, to learn, and to grow. Only fear, and its offspring's of hate, intolerance, and judgment seek retribution.
As for worthinessThere is an old saying, God does not make junk If we could strip away our ego driven self image, which is always in competition with other egos, we could ask the true us if we are worthy to stand in the light of God, and our true self would simply laugh, and say, why would you ask such a ridiculous question?
Now the next important piece of information is that there is so such thing as separation from God. As stated previously, there is nothing outside of God. Every molecule of matter is a part of spirit, this means us as well, so the idea that God could abandon us is absurd, as God could no more turn his\her back on us, than we could willingly separate from an arm, or a leg. The true part of us, that is called the soul by some, is also a part of God, just as a part of us, is fused with the DNA of our children. It is in fact the combined particles of male\female that create a new human life; the same merging of energies is true with spirit. For this reason, there is no division between God, and the rest of creation.
