Ode to McCain/Palin
When McCain chose his running mate
It was a horribly awful blind date.
The "Bethcha, by-golly"
That was John McCain's folly
Caused his campaign to dissipate.
She winked and she smiled and she spoke
To reporters and everyday folk
But her intellect was lacking
And her "pit-bull" attacking
Made the GOP campaign a joke.
"I'm Joe Sixpack!" she said to the press.
(Said while wearing a designer dress).
Her fashion was "Vogue" . . .
Her campaign style...rogue!
And her grammar, most certainly a mess.
McCain gave a gift to the nation
With his running mate's nomination.
He fumed and he fretted . . .
"DAMN! I SHOULD HAVE VETTED!"
and ensured Barack's complete domination.
