Living true to self in today's economic capitalism

Let me ask, what EXACTLY is wealth anyway? American capitalism views it as how deep your pockets are and how thriving your business is. Well...that's a great mentality to have for a business mind but for personal growth, it doesn't cut the mustard. There may just be something to the world economic hardships facing the human race currently. Can we say...regulation?

Here are how businesses should view their practice. First, look at your product is it beneficial via means other than helping another out financially? (Although in some cases, it is VERY possible to help someone out financially whether it be by savings or perhaps giving them a job or career opportunity.) If it is, that's great the first step is done. If not, may I suggest searching for a product which helps others' mental health. I say mental health because not every product is going to help a consumer physically.

Would THEY be able to take that same product and help someone else benefit from it. For example, a company named Ecoquest International which focuses on air and water purification allows independent dealers to retail these units and then share the technology. (In fact, they go beyond that in other means of 'wealth' but that rambling has no place here.) The product has to be something of enriching value financially, emotionally and spiritually.

Then as a prospective business owner or one who sells products, are there services you can provide for this customer on a more personable level? Are you willing to go out of your way to find out if they are a golfer and give them a free newsletter on all of the latest golf equipment or resorts? Are you willing to send them publications about which company may be best to get a loan from for their childrens' college education? If you are willing to do this, then you are remaining true to yourself and perhaps even exploring a newly found, personal growth.

Those who are not willing to do it well, at least you are managing to keep others pockets lined and feed their egos and savings accounts keeping them happy. The more important question is though, Knowing that you didn't provide a full potential service to someone, possibly enriching their life; does that make YOU happy? The way to stay true to yourself in a capitalist society, is to create your own personal spiritual, emotional, and fiscal wealth and then pass along the secret to other individuals.
