N.L.T's Barbershop
This barbershop was different from the others, usually when you walk into a barbershop there's only men, but in this particular one you'll find females behind the chairs. The owner Tristana opened this barbershop when she turned seventeen years old, and with the help of her friends it became the happening barbershop in Charlottesville, Virginia. They named it N.L.T for short meaning, "No Longer Tradition", because her barbershop mostly employed females. It was a family and friend business that has been open for five years.
Tristana was raised in a household that consisted of males only, she was the baby girl. She has six brothers one being her identical twin. All six of her brothers work at the barbershop, each with different job titles. Her oldest brother Sean is the Attorney, Micheal and Lamont does the Human Resource, Kenny and David are the Repairman, her twin Tristan helps in the barbershop. Her father oversees the bookkeeping while her mother helps keep the records organized.
When she was growing up all the brothers relied on her to cut their hair and shape them up once a week. They would pay her with their allowance they received from their parents. Tristana charged them $15 for a hair cut with a shape up and no one argued with that price. The money she saved went towards the opening of the barbershop and her family was so proud of her career choice that they matched what she already had put up. Since then the business is the greatest source of income, everyone stop working for their former employers and went into family business. Now they own ten barbershops in their surrounding area and all of them are doing well Financially. She has gotten a prestigious award for being the Youngest Female Business Owner ever in the State Of Virginia. She received the Award in Honor of her Father, Mother, Brothers, and Friends for making it all possible.
The barbershop everyone loved to go for the warmth feeling of a family atmosphere. Word was spread around town of how good Tristana could cut hair and give shape ups better than any man. She had become the talk of the town, gaining a lot more customer traffic. The old too the young had stepped outside tradition to experience Tristana's barbershop for themselves, and once they experienced it, it was line....hook.....sinker from here on out. Once people went in they decided to bring their whole family in and even told their friends about the experience. Making her barbershop the new Tradition they had become her customers for life. The N.L.T's Barbershop is the happening place to be.
