Poetry: Unresolved

by Jessica Herd

Created on: November 05, 2008   Last Updated: March 06, 2012

The confusion has escalated to its peak
And now we see it begin to overflow.
It has evolved into other species
Such as resentment, anger, tension, sorrow.
Don't know where to turn now,
We left it all unresolved too long.
Now things are just chaotic,
We left it all unresolved too long.
I look at you and want it to work
And I see the same when you look at me,
However the things that need fixing
Are things you release and let whatever be,
Some things just can't be forced.
Though I do understand we left things undone
For way too long and things are dwindling,
Still where my desire lies you're the only one.
How do you pick up the pieces
When you've procrastinated to the limit?
How can you mend the cuts
When they've become increasingly infected?
My mind is hurt from trying to find solutions,
We left it all unresolved for too long.
