Anna Lies
Anna lies
With one soft arm
Across the flesh of her breasts
Listening intently
As the pound of her pulse
Lulls her to dreaming.
Anna lies
In the spin of her mind
Seeking somehow central balance
As she picks up
Throws down
The reigns where stable hides.
Anna lies
To herself more than not
Delusion places safety
Palms up and
Eyes crushed tight
Clearing her paths.
Anna lies
Gently before her
The whispering pieces
Of a yet unfinished soul
Wondering saline
At the already brilliance.
Of no use till the answers wave tattered whites
Only seen when blind faith allows
Breathy truth is
We all can share
Where she is when
Anna lies.
