TITLE: Autumns Here
Wow! It's that time of year when the whole family gets together to rake leaves. This is the time to have family fun at no cost, and everyone enjoys themselves. We meet up together in the backyard to plan where the leaves will come together in one big pile. Once we agree upon where to rake the leaves in a pile, my sister Megan, brother Randy, and cousin Jenny are given our rakes to begin raking. My mother and father had the honors of going around in the yard picking up debris placing it in big clear trash bags for our safety. Dad stays outside to supervise us while we rake and mom grabs the last rake to help us rake leaves.
Mom then hands the rake to our dad so he could take her place while she goes in to prepare us some food. The laughter would fill the sky with smiles that traveled for miles, we all had fun raking leaves. " Have you ever seen leaves that rains?", asked Jenny. " No, leaves don't rain," Randy said. " Yeah, they do!",Megan and I said. Girls are you ready to show him that leaves do rain, 1...2....3 go, all three of us grabbed as many leaves as possible tossing them up over Randy. See.... We told you that leaves can rain, now do you believe us? "You got me," Randy admitted. " Alright children back to raking the leaves you'll have more than enough time to play when your finished raking," dad said.
The pile of leaves was tempting us, that we decided to run and dive in, laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. It felt like someone was tickling us so hard that it hurt to even crack a smile. "Megan, Randy, Sandy, and Jenny come in and wash up before eating," mom said. AAAWWW,man......We were just getting started, so soon! " Go ahead and do what your mother said for you'll to do now," dad said enforcing what our mother had already told us to do. So, we all done as we were told to do, after we had finished our mom had our beef stew ready and waiting for us. Dad stayed outside to finish shredding the raked leaves for mulch. After dad finally finished he joined the family for hot cocoa, as we sat around the fireplace telling Autumn stories about Raking Leaves. The laughter filled every room in our household as we joked about how the three girls had gathered up some raked leaves making them rain down on Randy, and the expression on his face as the leaves fell down on him was priceless. "Next weekend it be more leaves and more raking," dad said," I'm glad you'll enjoyed raking leaves and had fun doing it,"mom said. Autumns Here and let's start raking leaves.
