Cats and their names
Every cat I have ever had but one got its name by accident. I got my first cat when I was six or seven. This cat was as black as the night sky and my favorite color was midnight so I named her Midnight. The name proved to suit her; she was always roaming around the house at night and sleeping throughout the day.
My mom had a cat she had named Wolfie and she had six kittens. My sister and I were told we couldn't name them because we weren't keeping them. Well, my sister and I kept getting the cats confused so we gave them all nicknames until we could find them a home.
Monsieur: he looked like Tom from Tom and Jerry when they were in France the little mouse always called Tom Monsieur pussy cat. That's how he got his name.
Red: Self explanatory this cat was red not reddish orange; he was red.
Sandy: He was the color of beach sand so what better name to call him than Sandy.
The orange one: another orange cat we just called him the orange one.
Miss Gray: Again this one is self explanatory. This cat was gray and a female.
Oddball: There was one out of the bunch who was multicolored and she didn't look like the rest of the litter, so she was deemed the oddball.
We ended up keeping all six cats because no one wanted them. They all kept their names except the orange one and oddball. We ended up naming the oddball Claws because she loved to use her claws. The orange one, mom named Abner off an old show.
My sister brought home a Siamese cat and named her Snowflake. My mom had a cat named Tiger at the time. Tiger, Wolfie, Snowflake all had kittens at the same time. I already told you about Wolfies' kittens.
Snowflake had three kittens, two black and one white with tiger striped spots. The black ones were a male and female and solid black. One day my mom said they are as black as the ace of spades, so their names are now Ace and Missy Ace. My sister was told she could keep the white one and she named it HP. One guess on what it stands for. Harry Potter, she's a big fan.
Finally my cat Claws had three kittens. She had one calico, one tiger striped with an orange nose, and a white with the tiger striped spots. Again with these three we weren't supposed to keep them, but I gave them nicknames.
Cali: Short for calico.
Chester/ Chelsea: At first we thought the white one was male and mom said it looked like a Chester: When it got older we discovered it was a girl so changed it to Chelsea.
Chloe: Well she got landed with her name because we named the other two with C names so we said she needed a name that started with a C also.
After they were named, they became the three C's. All of our cats ended up keeping their nicknames.
