This is a relatively unknown anime. It was a manga but not much was written. This meant that when developed into an anime it was only thirteen episodes long which is spread across three discs. When I put the first disc in I went to the audio set-up and opted for the english dub with no subtitles. This was a bad mistake. I find that anime dubs are either very good or extremely bad! This was the latter. Some of the dialogue simply doesnt make sence. The voices are horrible and sometimes not even in shync! Luckily the Japanese version with english subtitles is available and everyone should watch this version. The story isn't the best in the world. It revolves around a male protagonist named Ranmaru. He and his sister were invloved in a mass murder at their flats which resulted in their parents and many other dying. Five years later and Ranmaru is a cop in some special branch. After a series of wierd deaths and strange craters appearing in the city we learn everything isn't as it seems. Ut oh! It ends up with Ranmaru leanring there are demons on the lose. Not only that but there is one inside him. He is what is known as a symbiot. Lucky us that means he has super powers and can fight the demons. He joins another branch of the police which includes other symbiots that are trying to fight all of the demons. There are some character relationships but to be perfectly honest with you this isnt a very good series. The plot in a bit confusing and tupid. The characters are terrible. I hated pretty much all of them. You never really care what is happening and it ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved as the series has been ended! The anime is a mix of hand drawn animation and CGI effects. The actual hand drawn stuff is pretty good. The colouritsts do a great job and the character designs whilst nothing special or original arn't bad. I am however not the biggest fan of CGI in anime unless it is done right. Here it is done completely wrong! It looks terrible. There is one car scene in particular that is simply awful! The series costs around 10 on amazon! My advice, Don't buy it! If your looking for a slightly more mature themed anime then go for death note. If you want action go for bleach. Both are much better and have a lot more going for them! There are speacial features but these are only trailers for other animes! If I can take one good thing from this series its that the trailers led me to good anime! Hooray
