Wolf's rain is a japanese animation (anime) that was first released in 2003. It is twenty-six episodes long but there are four Original video animations (OVA's) that came out sometime after the series ended.These OVA's were released to give viewers a more conclusive end to the series. It is directed by Tensai Okamaru who has worked on popular animes such as "Neon genesis evangellion" and "Cowboy Bebop". The anime studio BONES produced the series. This studio is well nown for the production of titles such as "Full Metal Alchemist" and "Rahxephon".

Story
As you may have guessed Wolf's rain features a group of wolves. In the world the series is set in wolves are thought to have died out long ago due to humans hunting them. Some remain however and have gained the ability to project themselves as human so that they can avoid being hunted! Our story starts in Freeze city. The residents mainly are poor and crime seems to be a regular occurance. Four wolves are drawnto the city by the scent of lunar flowers. There is a legend that states that wolves will be the only beings able to find paradise when the world ends. The key to finding paradise lies with the lunar flowers and the flower maiden. I realise that all sounds rather rubbish but I can assure you it isn't and does not come accross badly when in context! Anyway, the flower maiden is being studied in Freeze city and it is her scent that has drawn the wolves there. She awakens from a seemingly comatose state when she sences the wolves. Unfortunately the flower maiden is kidnapped and the adventure truly starts. The episodes feature the wolves struggles to find the flower maiden and then keep her safe from those who want to use her power for personal gain. They also must learn to get along! Whilst this doesnt sound very mature, it is! The content is aimed at those over 15 years upwards. I nejoyed the story and its originality. Some episode were quite slow but it is one of those stories where you need to know what happens next. Unfortunately there are four episodes midway through the series which re-cap the events that have happened so far. This is very annoying as they are completely pointless! luckily thos episodes are not part of this first collection.

Characters
This is a character driven anime with action sequences here and there. The actual character relationships are probably more important than anything else

Kiba Kiba is essentially the main character of the story and the leader of the wolves to a degree. He is
