story which is the influence of Mr. Alito's father. The remaining paragraphs go into more detail then an online news source would: There is information about how Mr. Alito will use his father's touch in his own political world as he answered questions from Democrats. There is also a reference to Mr. Alito's father as "a larger-than-life hero in the story his son presents to the public." (Kirkpatrick, David D. "Court Nominee Presents Father As Role Model." The New York Times, 5 Dec. 2005: A1). With more details and more paragraphs about different things pertaining to Mr. Alito's relationship with his father, the story has a more touching approach. The story has more poignancy that affects the reader, because the reader has took the time to read the story.
The paragraph structure and content of a story will not only affect the strength of a newspaper story, quotes used in a newspaper story will as well. (Kirkpatrick, David D. "Court Nominee Presents Father As Role Model." The New York Times, 5 Dec. 2005: A19) give the reader a more humanistic approach to the story.
