One of the greatest Star Wars video games of all time! Not only will the game play dazzle and amaze you but the story packs a powerful punch. You start the game playing as the most famous Sith Lord of all time, Darth Vadar, as he lands on the Wookie planet of Kashyyyk in search of one of the last remaining Jedi Knights. Fending off feral Wookies using Vadar's trademark force power Grip and his ominous red lightsaber fills the player with but a taste of the Dark Side.
As the main character in the game, Galen Marek codenamed Starkiller, you'll start out as Vadar's secret apprentice as you do his bidding hunting down the remaining Jedi throughout the galaxy. As you battle Jedi Knights and Masters you'll learn just what role you play in Vadar's plan to usurp the Emperor and rule the galaxy as Master and Apprentice. This story is full of backstabs and betrayals, which is not surprising considering the main characters are Sith, bridges the gap between the old and the new Star Wars Trilogies. Fans of the movies and the lore will love the story and scenes including the construction of Vadar's Super Star Destroyer and the Death Star. A few characters from the Star Wars universe also make cameos including Princess Leia and Mon Mothma. And you can't forget about your trusty droid sidekick PROXY who's always out to fulfill his primary program: to kill you!
LucasArts utilized a few new engines in this Star Wars title that brings a realistic element to the environment you battle in, from shattering glass to splintering wood. You'll get a kick out of panicking Stormtroopers that desperately cling to objects and other Stormtroopers as you lift them off the ground with your force Grip and toss them aside. Upgrade your powers and learn deadly lightsaber combos that will leave a battalion of Imperial forces helpless as you unleash the full power of the Dark Side. Using force Push, Grip, Lightning, Lightsaber Throw, and a new ability in Star Wars games force Repulse, you quickly come to rival the power of your Sith Lord and his Master. Find upgrades for your lightsaber throughout the levels as well as cool costumes to fully customize your Apprentice. Witness the birth of the Rebel Alliance and in the end choose to follow the path of a Jedi, or succumb to the Dark Side.
Since this is one of the first titles to use the Digital Molecular Matter and Euphoria engines there are a few let downs. You can't unleash the power of the force on EVERYTHING as you would hope for. Not completely
