from the dusk an excitement has arisen
the people step into the beat
the world spins a little slower for them
the crowds line up and get ready for the stars

My heart thrives under city lights,
My dreams are born on city nights,
I am a child of the golden street
The wind blows right through me.
I shiver from the cold.
Why is this happening to me?
My arms I tightly hold.
The wind cuts
Where did the angels go?
The indian soldiers are laughing
The night-time chess players
Move silently
The guitars play desert
