Humor: Self improvement

by Andy Kreklow

Something that has been crossing my mind frequently as of late, is what could I do to improve myself. Well as I thought about it more and more I realized there is so much I would change that I didn't even know where to start. So what I did was looked at all my vices, and I realized quiting them all together would be impossible for me and my addictive personality I came up with other solutions.

So I decided to start on something that wouldn't be to difficult for me, instead of drinking regular beer I'm gonna switch to light. Seemed easy enough, but as a couple weeks went by I was constantly asking myself why am i not drunk? It turns out there is much less alcohol in light beer, and I know I should have known that but thats not the point. I realized that wasn't a good place to start my change.

After that I decided to smoke light cigarettes instead of regular, and that honestly lasted no time at all. I smoke four of those lights, and I couldn't taste a single one. I thought to myself, what is the point of smoking a cigarette that you can't taste. Trying to quit smoking all together was completely out of the question, believe me Ive tried so many times its not even funny. So once again I'm right back to the drawing board.

I thought about trying to lose some weight, but I'm already skinny. I actually thought about trying to bulk up, cause that seems like it would be a really easy thing to do. Just eat allot more food right, well when I realized that I spend most of my money on beer and smokes i soon found out bulking up is out of the picture.

Maybe making my self a little healthier physically is the ticket, and what I came up with is taking a nice walk everyday. This was defiantly the way for me to go, because I just got in a bunch of trouble recently and have to walk to work and back everyday. So that is certainly a win win situation for me, and not only do I take one walk everyday but I need to come home too, so I end up taking two walks.

So all in all I'm pretty happy with myself, and if your dead set on making some kink of self improvement. My advice to you is just never give up, there is always gotta be something that is easy enough to change without all that bothersome effort. Ive always been a bit of a slacker, but I always take care of what I need to. If I can feel better about making a change that was technically inevitable, well then there has to be something you can think of to make you feel like you bettered your life.
