I am not an authority on Acne but I did have it as a teenager and it never completely went away until I was in my twenties. Nothing stopped it effectively. I tried the creams that cover it up so make it show up a little less. I tried not eating chocolate and less sweets but these didn't work. I tried facial washes but that didn't work. I tried washing without soap just hot water but no luck. It seems there is always a hair at the base of the eruption so whether that has anything to do with it I do not know.

I do know that diet is not totally at fault because when we grew up there were four or five of us at least in the teen years that ate mostly the same things. I was one of two I can remember with acne in a family of twelve children. It seemed that chocolate made it break out more and it also seemed when I ate Apples or foods with acid they broke out more. Also I remember when they started to go away I at first would scratch when they itched and squeezed them but that always made them worse.

Then I went to the other extreme and completely left them alone and would fight with myself to let them go away by there selves and it seemed to be the only true solution. It may have been my age but I still think today will power is the best solution because we know when we have a scar mom always says don't scratch it and it will go away and it's true. Another thing I tried the same tactics on was cold sores or impetigo and it worked as well on them too. The body has marvelous healing qualities we have never tapped into so if you really want to find cures look into the anatomy.

For instance why does this work? If your hand goes to sleep most people rub it or massage it or just wait until it wakes up. My solution is very simple and it worked for my wife and I both and she had to admit I was right. It's so simple just place a finger of the sleeping hand on the other hand or on your wife and try to feel what you are touching with that finger that's asleep. For some reason it just causes blood to flow and immediately wakes up. Did you ever hear about the laying on of hands for healing?

Perhaps there is more to it then we thought because we know even positive thinking helps heal so just how much healing power is with in our bodies untapped. We can heal ourseves in some instances but not always but there is merit in the idea of healing by natural means perhaps and at least we should study this possibility more deeply, as we have many other topics that do little to help in any way.
